Today we watch as another Presidential Election run takes place and one has to look at all the candidates and say to themselves, why would you vote for any of them? Good question and apparently the answer is we are suppose to pick the lesser of two-evils, but that simply makes no sense. We ought to clear the stage and go find some more intelligent folks who are not so full of beans to run our nation?
Have you noticed that often the candidates will quote studies to prove their position, even when the logic breaks all the rules of common sense? One candidate will have one study showing one thing and then another with the exact opposite conclusion – fascinating indeed.
Why does government call for so many studies and deny common sense you ask? Well, because it is a way to pay the academic thinkers who cannot make it in the real world and when you pay them enough they can produce any result you ask for. How so you ask? Well, because figures lie and liars figure is the famous quote that I often prefer to repeat
Doing surveys and research gives the politicians credibility for denying common sense and to show the people that common sense is irrelevant because we now have a study. Sending a proposal to committee or to a study group slows the process of government and gives the politicians and bureaucracy a break from the media attacking them for denial of common sense.
Why does government move so slow? To protect us from it moving too fast and doing an end run around the people who supposedly own it. We ought to let our politicians know that it is time for them to come clean and deliver some common sense back to America, instead of giving away our US Treasury to any more social programs, as it is akin to digging a big hole and throwing money into it. Study this!
