Hillary Clinton’s life has always been under intense scrutiny by the American public. Americans seem to either love her or hate her, but they sure can’t ignore her. However, analysts are saying that this might just work in her favor during the election. Any presidential candidate would rather have people talk about him or her rather than respond with bored indifference.
Hillary's challenge is to present herself as a strong woman-of-power along with warm sincerity. Being a woman, many people say that at times she's acting when doing the empathy thing. Her critics are not convinced that she can take the tough decisions that an American president is required to make. For example, on the Iraq issue, people have been judging her harshly for backing Bush on the war. They say that she is not forceful enough about her position on the war.
At the end of the day, however, it all comes down to whether a majority of Americans are ready and willing to vote a woman as President. In a position that has traditionally been occupied by men, a woman president might not be easy for a lot of voters to accept. Considering the fact that America has some difficult decisions to in the near future, people might just want to hand the reins of the country to a man.
However, Hillary has surprised people before. And one must not forget, she has the influential network of Bill Clinton on her side. Contrary to what many people think, a lot of Americans still love Bill Clinton. That might just come in handy for Hillary.
