Every so often a new candidate comes along and captures the attention of the American Voter, a breath of fresh air. They seem to not miss a beat in their political public relations campaign. They make people feel great, someone they can believe in. Unfortunately, once the courtship is over the shooting star falls from grace as their true colors shine thru.
Let us take a look at the Obama PR machine. Some say Obama will never become President and there is already talk that he looks more like Vice President hopeful Obama. Many believe that Obama will say anything to get a headline. And they cite various examples for this judgement on him:
"First, he admits doing drugs in HS, now he is setting a new example to tell kids to join up for service? What the heck is this guy thinking, who on Earth is running his PR campaign. His handlers must be disgusted, every time he opens his mouth he says something really stupid. My gosh I would not want anyone like that as President of the United States of America.
Those are some pretty harsh comments coming from real people. Another we talked to said:
"I could see him now cracking jokes a "Red Ribbon Week" say no to drugs ceremony. residential material - Certainly not, maybe he can help out in government in a more suitable task? I saw something on "Dirty Jobs" Discovery Channel that would be just perfect for him. Tell him to get off my TV set, I cannot stand to listen to this dribble. He creates controversy just to get on TV. Give America a break, he does not even carry himself well, he is not Presidential material, "Obviously Obama is Out!"
The political fallout and love at first sight is wearing off as the election race continues, will Obama be a shooting star burned out by the time the Democrats Nominate? Can he hold out until then? How much money will he spend trying to keep the orbiting telescope alive? Something Serious to Contemplate in 2008.
