Media in itself are independent bodies who have a significant role in society of reporting and investigating issues that have important impact to the general public.
Many people think media as a source of conflicts and gossips and they have a wrong impression that media only sensationalize stories. If you think media are violating any law, go to the courts and file a case so that they will be punished for what they are doing. In cases of extremism, it is better to be more aware of the situation of possible terror attacks than to treat this as a normal thing.
Since media are able to communicate to these fanatics only tells us that authorities are lax in capturing the terrorists. In cases like this, the issue of extremism seems to be a game without full force of the police to hunt terrorists. Instead of just pointing fingers to media as "exaggerated" storytellers, take your part in extinguishing extremism and suggest ways to the government to solve this issue.
The role of journalists is not limited to the perception of individuals on how they should behave. Reporters, news organizations and media personnel have crucial duties in giving the public the latest events across the country and among nations. Without them, we are blinded of the real situations occurring in various places around the globe.
Journalists, especially in democratic nations, are the eyes and ears of common people about the ongoing occurrences in a nation. They are the sources of information that we need to know in the present scenario. The role of journalism is basically to be the watchdog of the evil doings of any entity and the government.
