John Mccain Wife

When Pat Robertson (700 Club and CBN) announced his endorsement of Rudy Giuliani for President, there was a loud THUD heard throughout conservative Christianityland. At the CBN prayer center in Nashville, the thud was followed by a flood of callers who were, uh well, not exactly asking for prayers.

The reaction was swift and mostly shock and dismay. Other candidates stumping for support seemed stunned. John McCain said it was one of the few times in his life he's been speechless.

So how did it come to this? Pat Robertson has made some pretty controversial statements over the course of his leadership at CBN. But to endorse a candidate who is OK with abortion, gay marriage, illegal immigration and cheating on your wife may be a little much for most conservative Christians to stomach.

But this coming election may get stranger. Mitt Romney the Mormon former governor of Massachusetts has received backing from evangelical Christians including Bob Jones III. Obviously they are backing a man who is conservative on social issues but follows what Christians have determined is a false religion. Maybe they think that sometime between now and next November Mitt will have a "Come to Jesus" meeting and they will vote him into the White House. The trend this election year seems to be more inclined to endorse any Republican who might be able to defeat Hillary Clinton.

Some conservative columnists have already speculated that because of the mixed messages coming from the strong Christian right, whoever is the Democratic candidate will probably win the White House.

Of course for the most part liberal Christians are Democrats who will vote for anyone who gets the nomination. So are we setting the stage for Hillary to be our next president as conservative Christians are split and sending confusing signals to their followers? Is it OK to vote for a candidate who is cool with killing babies and supports homosexual marriage? Should believers hold their noses and just vote for the one they think can win? Do the core values of someone really not matter when it comes to leading this country?

The answer seems to be a resounding 'YES'. But so many Christians today possess moral compasses that are spinning wildly out of control. They are indistinguishable from the world and so feel comfortable setting aside morality, character, and Christian values when making a decision. God Bless America??
