Im Voting Republican

With the way things have started out this election year, the United States could see quite a spike in the number of voters who will take to the polls in November. However, the question we must ask ourselves is - for what reason?

The problem is that thus far, some of the favorite topics circulate around the basis of simple popularity and the notions of gender and racial unity rather than the issues at hand. In the results of many polls conducted across this great nation, two of the largest concerns of the American public seem to focus on the stability of our economy and a lengthy battle going on in Iraq. In the case of the Iraq situation, these views played a major part in why Democrats took control of both houses of Congress in 2006.

But, the fact of the matter is, since 2006 there has been no real change in what has been going on overseas. And as for as the economy goes, it has only really been on the decline for a round a year. It seems pretty funny that the economy was strong and thriving until shortly after the Democrats took more power.

And, the fact remains that the Democratic Party really hasn't been tested in regard to handling national security in the new millennium. On the other hand, it is pretty evident that we've been able to maintain a high level of safety under Republican guidance.

I myself am a registered Independent. But right now, everything leads me to believe that in our current situation we are better off with a Republican in the White House. So, when you go to the polls this November, be sure to keep in mind the real issues and vote for someone because of their stance rather than what they look like or what gender they might be.
