A research fellow from Hoover Institute, Mr. Steele, proclaims that Senator Obama, who is currently running for President has it right on Iran, when Obama stated he would run right over to Iran and open negotiations once he was president. Mr. Steele, wrote of his findings and kudos for Obama in the Wall Street Journal recently. Now then, I am all for Mr. Steele promoting his new book;
A Bound Man: Why We Are Excited About Obama and Why He Can't Win - by Mr. Steele
by writing editorial pieces, telling us something we already know, namely the famous quote;
keep your enemies closerYet, it is to no avail, as Obama, has no chance in becoming the Nominee for the Dems, as he does not have the political machine that the Clintons do behind him. Thirdly, negotiations with a nation that sponsors International Terrorists (Hezbollah 100 million per year for example), is building nuclear weapons, and indeed, does not honor its negotiated agreements is just silly. It is waste of time.
Iran's President cannot be trusted, that lesson has already been learned. Whereas Mr. Steele comes from a top-notched academic diplomacy background, denying these obvious facts and then putting his name on an opinion piece in the WSJ, makes me wonder if indeed, anyone should bother to listen to the words he writes, and that is my opinion.
For Obama to claim that he knows best about foreign affairs and diplomacy with such Middle Eastern Nations, as a Freshman Senator, is bad enough. Indeed, Hilary Clinton was correct, it is naïve for Obama to make a promise to visit Castro, Chavez, Kim Jong Il and the President of Iran without knowing the power that it gives them in the World arena.
